Projects 2012
Learning the "American Way"
RESEARCH PROJECT
We will be recruiting international participants for a research project that illustrates their cultural perspectives of training and education that was developed in the United States.
Our goal is to illustrate to American trainers, educators, and course developers why it is critical to address cultural differences in international learning programs! |
Culturally Appropriate Instructional Design
CERTIFICATE PROGRAM in CAID
We will pilot a certificate training program on Culturally Appropriate Instructional Design, online and in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
Participants will develop skills that are essential to training multicultural, multinational learners, addressing content, methods, and technologies.
The course is recommended for instructional designers, trainers, educators, facilitators, and course design project managers. |
Training Online in Other Countries
GLOBAL TRAINING GUIDES
We will be publishing a series of booklets on "How to Train" in other cultures and countries, which will eventually be compiled into one manual. We will begin with:
- How to Train Online in India
- How to Train Online in China
- How to Train Online in Brazil
- How to Train Online in the U.S.

Walden University "Global Day of Service" VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Since 2006, Walden University has held this event to demonstrate social change in action. This year, the Global eLearning Community is participating by inviting volunteers to contribute to our project "How To Train Online in Other Countries," beginning with India. To learn about the Global Day of Service, visit the Walden Service Network.
VOLUNTEER by October 5, 2012 to help us create a draft publication on "How to Train/Teach in India."
